I, Dr. Chandravadan D. Haria of Medina --Cleveland--, Ohio, along with- other committee members whose names appear at the bottom of this letter, are coming to you today with great expectation and utmost humility. 

K. V. O. Jain Chhatralaya, otherwise known as Matunga Boarding and Savla School, is an 80-year old prestigious institution of our community which has served us and our community well in preparing so many of us for the challenges we faced growing up in this century . It is now undergoing a complete transformation ---that is,completely new residential facilities, modem high school to continue our Gujarati medium school and start a new English medium school leading up to SSC level, a modem science laboratory, a well-equipped library, computer institute, various vocational and technical courses, arts and cultural activities,sports facilities, etc., etc. The aim is to make our school one of the finest, multipurpose, educational institutions, in Mumbai. 

A totally committed and highly dedicated group of trustees of the Boarding and its executive board has set a goal to collect Rs. 10 crores ( approximately 3 million dollars ) for this project and have called upon those of us residing in North America to help raise a sum of $300,000 -one-tenth of the total required. They are confident they will raise the rest of the amount locally. Enclosed please fmd a printed appeal from them, giving us more details on their plans. 

On behalf of the Trustees of the Matunga BoardIng as well as all the committee members mentioned below, I would like to urge all KOJAIN families to support this noble and worthwhile cause that will give our younger generation an opportunity to prepare themselves well to compete effectively in the new, highly competitive, high tech era, through the high class education that this transfonned institution aims to provide. 

Please donate as generously as you can. We hope you will reach deep down in your heart and contribute US $1,000 or more, or any other amount you deem appropriate for a cause this noble.
