Goal(s):
To provide support and assistance to Kojain women in need.
Membership/Organization:
Chairperson, board members, Medical, Legal, Financial, and Counseling
professionals. This will be formed as an informal organization divided by
region.
The
rational to have such committee is simple. Very often when woman is going
through some crisis, she finds herself alone. The disheartenment of finding
herself alone, itself act as a deterrent in not seeking help. She may not want
her family involved or be aware of it for several reasons, friends may shy away
or may not have correct resources to guide her At such times this committee can
step in and help her in non-judgmental, non-partisan way.
The committee may provide information related to Medical, legal,
financial counseling and emotional issues.
Methods:
Establish a list of volunteer Professional in above fields in each
region. (Regional directors could assist in obtaining names of professionals).
Also list local women’s organizations where one can get guidance.
Communicate existence of such cmt. thru’ our newsletter and web site.
Chairperson shall keep list of all professional volunteers and update it
periodically.
Near-time Objectives: Establish a list of volunteers, and communicate to Kojain members.
